This post contains the information about how to install Oracle Database 11g on Windows platforms.The following hardware components and software components are required for installing Oracle Database
Hardware Requirements:
- RAM: 1GB (minimum)
- Virtual memory:Double the amount of RAM
- Disk space Total:5.22 GB

- Windows OS

Installation Steps:
- Unzip the Oracle Software and Double-click setup.exe to start Oracle Universal Installer.
- You can follow the instructions displayed in the Oracle Universal Installer screens for completing the installation process.
Step1:Provide your email address to be informed of security issues to Oracle support if you wish. It is optional and you can go for next screen
Configure Security Updates
Step2:This screen enables you to install any one for the following options.Check mark the radio button select database software only.Later we can configure the database.
Select Installation Option
Step3:Select the type of database installation you want to perform either single or RAC database installation.
Grid Installation Options
Step4:Select the langugs in which your product will run.The default language is English
Select Product Languages
Step5:Select Installation Types of Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, Personal Edition, or Custom.Click Next
Select Database Edition
Step6:The Oracle base path appears by default. You can change the path based on your requirement.
Specify Home Details
Step7:This screen checks that the system meets the minimum requirements for the installation. Correct any errors that Oracle Universal Installer may have found, and then click Next.
Product-specific Prerequisite Checks
Step8:Review the summary information and procced to finish
Summary
Step9:Check the Oracle Database Installation status successful and then Close screen.
Finish and Check installation status
